STUDENTS of Brixington Community Nursery and St Peter's Primary School will be taking part in a national tree planting initiative.

The Woodlands Trust initiative will produce 'hedge and copse' packs for the schools with information on what tree planting activities are being held in the area.

The schools will take part in planting new hedgerows and copses on school grounds and community spaces.

Community groups can still get involved in the scheme.
