THE S-Mart store in the Parade will shut for good on March 20, making it the third budget homeware shop in Exmouth to close since last June.
The budget homeware, clothing store and caf have begun their closing down sale this week making it the latest victim of the economic downturn in a tough business environment.
It follows the closure of Dells in Exeter Road who after 27 years filed for bankruptcy last June.
While the blaze in Bargains Galore in the Parade last month has led to that business to close while the clean up continues.
S-Mart manager Gary Benning said: "Unfortunately I just don't think the business has been doing that well."
Town manager Tony Collins said: "It is always a shame when the town loses one of its shops.
"For me it continues to underline the message that shopping locally and supporting our own town centre is vital for the future of Exmouth.
