Ruined Exmouth

PUBLISHED: 07:00 08 November 2013

I have just read that the planning application is going through for the 15 houses in Lympstone.

To make it better for the people who are being impacted by this decision, they are going to plant a new hedge to block out the new houses.

That is such a laugh. About five years ago, I emailed East Devon District Council to tell them that the land owner, a man from Exmouth, has torn up the ancient hedgerow that was there, they did nothing about it to my knowledge, they certainly didn’t get back to me about it, and now he is going to plant another.

Also, on another matter, Graham Martin’s letter is so true, EDDC have totally ruined Exmouth.

All the wonderful old buildings gone in a flash - never mind how old it is, they just get rid of it.

A fear for my son, when he becomes an adult, there will be nothing left in Exmouth except phone shops and charity shops!

Exmouth councillors have no idea, by the time we come to vote again it will be too late to stop any of this silliness, the damage will have been done.
