ROYAL Devon and Exeter Hospital is closed to visitors following a fresh outbreak of the vomiting bug.

ROYAL Devon and Exeter Hospital is closed to visitors following a fresh outbreak of the vomiting bug.

All wards are closed to visitors while the hospital contains the highly contagious norovirus winter bug and the hospital ahs postponed non-urgent operations.

The hospital believed the situation had worsened because of the recent freezing weather conditions causing higher than normal emergency admissions due to accidents.
