EXMOUTH and District Round Table have given Littleham Primary School a 1,000 cash boost to help pay for a new educational play area.
The money will help provide a secure outdoor area with a canopy for foundation stage children.
When completed will help the children's education through play, said Exmouth Round Table treasurer Chris Swaffield.
He added: "The area will be designed to maximise sensory and physical development, leading to greater levels of creativity and understanding.
"The area will also have environmental features that will provide fieldwork opportunities in the science and geography subjects for the older children."
Exmouth Round Table raises money with various events throughout the year to support local projects and many clubs and associations.
