Roman coins inspire Littleham school pupils

Pupils from Littleham Primary School were told about the 22,888 Roman coin hoard discovered in Seaton, 2013, before making their own.

The children also heard tales of a Roman solider, compared modern day inventions to the Roman equivalent and took part in an assembly.

Head of learning at Littleham Primary School, Mrs Padbury, said: “The day was fantastic; it was a really successful event.

“Giving the children an opportunity to learn about British history is fantastic. They were really engaged by it.”
