Revised plan to replace Exmouth restaurant with homes supported

Revised plans to replace a restaurant with homes have been supported by members of Exmouth Town Council’s planning committee.
The plan is for six three-bedroom houses, with associated parking and facilities, to be built on the site of Noble House, 1 Stevenstone Road, which would be demolished.
An application for seven homes on the site was previously submitted last year, before being withdrawn by the applicant.
Proposing support for the new application at the committee’s most recent meeting, Councillor Bill Nash said: “It’s an improvement on the previous application. It doesn’t impinge so much on the neighbours.
“It is a very large site.”
Cllr Nash added that the Avenues Residents Association had not raised any objections to the proposal.
East Devon District Council will rule on planning permission.
