RESIDENTS who live above Exmouth market were presented with gifts as thanks for allowing fireworks to be set off from their roof during the Christmas Cracker event.
A hamper was handed over last week by the town council to Sheila Russell, and wine to Roger Thompson, who live in the two properties above the market.
Deputy mayor Sandra Sutton, town manager Tony Collins and town clerk John Wokerstein were present at the presentation.
Mr Collins said: "Without their permission and consent, it would have been much more difficult to pull off the display.
"It was a great night and another example of all businesses and organisations pulling together to make sure it was a memorable night for Exmouth.
