EXMOUTH residents get the chance to have a say on how the district council is run by joining a new community panel.

EXMOUTH residents get the chance to have a say on how the district council is run by joining a new community panel.

Anybody can join the Speak Now Panel and follows a survey sent out to more than 2,000 residents asking them what they think about East Devon as a place to live.

A spokesperson for the Council said: "Everyone who received the questionnaire was invited to join the Panel and, so far, over 100 people have volunteered to take part."

However with more than 135,000 people in the district they want more people to have their say.

Residents on the Panel can tell the Council what they think by attending discussion groups, filing in postal or on-line questionnaires or by e-mail.

Just go to the Speak Now page at: www.eas5tdevon.gov.uk/speaknow, or call Jamie Buckley Community Engagement Officer on: (01395) 517569.
