‘Urgent’ repairs are being considered for a section of sea wall in Exmouth.

East Devon District Council’s cabinet is being asked to provide £30,000 of funding to repair a six-metre stretch of wall, which has collapsed, at Camperdown Creek.

A report to the cabinet, which will decide on the matter at its meeting on Wednesday, May 10, states that if the wall is not repaired it could collapse further, potentially causing boats stored in the area to fall onto the foreshore below.

It adds that although improvement works are planned in the area through the proposed Exmouth Tidal Defence Scheme, this is not expected to begin until May 2018.
