Horse, rabbit and donkey helped by Exmouth Repair Cafe

Exmouth’s Repair Café has played host to a wide variety of guests recently, including a rabbit, a horse and a donkey.
If you have a family item that needs some tender loving care, perhaps to pass on to the next generation, consider taking it along to a Repair Café in Tower Street Methodist Church, on the first Saturday of the month, where the volunteer repairers may be able to give it a new lease of life.
The donkey pictured is 60 years old and was bought by its owner for her son.
When he was six months old, her son was placed on the donkey’s back by his father.
Unfortunately, the weight was too much and the donkey’s front legs collapsed.
Restoration began in last month’s Repair Café when the legs were fixed by Mike and Marion’s combined talents.
The next Repair Café will be held on Saturday, October 6, from 10am to 1pm.
