Public's views sought over traffic

Residents with traffic and road concerns in Exmouth should take them up with their town councillor.
Chairman of Exmouth’s Transport Partnership Mark Williamson told fellow councillors that a county council transport review was looming, the ideal time to press for things like traffic islands and changes to speed limits.
Devon County Council is reviewing roads and traffic flow in and around Exmouth.
Cllr Williamson said: “There is no fixed deadline for the highways assessment, but if members have picked up any concerns from residents, they should flag these up as soon as possible. It is reasonable to come back by the end of August.
“It’s anything that comes up – people who want a two-way road made one-way, 20mph speed limits, speed curbs, double yellow lines; any matters at all.
“We want to improve the way vehicles move through the town.”
