A PSYCHIC investigator from Withycombe has told how she found a diabetic woman lost in the Spanish mountains for five-days without food, water, or medicine.

Carol Everett, who lives with her husband Mike for part of the year in Cheriswood Avenue, is famed for using her skills to help solve cases on Japan's equivalent of Crimewatch.

Last week Lesley Read, 49, went missing in the mountains of southern Spain, in Murcia, after leaving her home without her medication.

She was found after a hunt involving Civil Guards, local police, firemen and volunteers.

Rescue finally came when a Civil Guard helicopter spotted a piece of clothing hanging from a bush in a remote ravine - and Lesley was found lying unconscious nearby.

The clothing was found thanks to Carol and she said: "Doug (Lesley's wife) asked me to see if I could help...

"By this time she had been missing three days and it was clear conventional enquiries and searches had revealed no trace of her whereabouts."

Lesley's clothes and a picture were then given to Carol and she added: "To locate Lesley, I used very similar techniques I use in crime cases...I put myself into a relaxed state of mind... slowed down my breathing... (and) the information started to come through with words and pictures.

"The information came through very quickly, in about ten minutes. I saw the visions in my mind very clearly which indicated she was alive.

"At last the helicopter went out to where I said she would be found, they found Lesley was exactly where I said, inside a small hut on the top of the mountain, with a view of a small island, they could see her because there was no roof.

"It was also within a five mile radius from where she went missing, on a coastal path. I saw long flapping clothes in the investigation; the same clothes were seen hanging on a bush near where she was found."

Lesley was taken to hospital suffering from dehydration but is now recovering at home.
