Green-fingered residents are being invited to enter this year's Exmouth in Bloom gardening competition.

There is a choice of 19 different categories, with something to suit everyone, from hanging baskets to large gardens, and open to entrants including householders, businesses, clubs and schools.

Prizes are sponsored by Kings Garden and Leisure, with prizes of vouchers worth £100 for the overall winner, £50 for the runner-up, £25 for the best child’s garden, and £100 for the winner of the schools’ category.

There is also a box of gardening accessories for every school that enters.

Exmouth in Bloom chairman Ann Wheeler said: “We’re trying to celebrate gardeners in the town – you don’t have to be overly competitive to enter.”

Ann added that the organisers were especially keen for children to enter.

The closing date for entries is July 2.

Judging will then take place between July 11 and July 23.

Entry forms are available from Exmouth Town Hall, Exmouth Library, Kings Garden and Leisure, and online at www.exmouthinbloom.org.uk
