There has been too much development in this area already - any more could spell disaster.

A large part of Exmouth is below sea level yet the planners see fit to allow developers to convert houses into flats, thus increasing the effluent in already over-stretched sewers.

Just what right have these people to risk the homes of so many, does anyone out there know?

Here, in The Colony, we have nurses, plumbers, computer engineers, electricians, carpenters, central heating engineers, teachers, retired professional folk, solicitors, caterers, hairdressers, the list goes on. Salt of the Earth, hard-working people who do not deserve to be treated in such a cavalier fashion by anyone.

I sincerely hope that Debbie will be given all possible help in her stand, that people will rally to her cause and that both planners and developers will be obliged to think again.

Ann Prior,

75 Egremont Road, Exmouth.
