Residents of Budleigh Salterton, East Budleigh, Otterton and the surrounding villages are being urged to report potholes which could prove dangerous to cyclists.
Highways chiefs are still in the process of patching up East Devon’s roads, following last winter’s cold spell.
But County Councillor Christine Channon said that ‘really dangerous’ potholes could be temporally patched up in an emergency.
She said: “If there are places where there are any potholes, please let me know and I will ensure they are fixed.
“They have to be a certain depth before they get fixed. If there are any that are really dangerous, from the point of view of cyclists, they could be filled in quickly.
“But that would be just a temporary solution.”
If parishioners are concerned by potholes, they can be reported via the internet using www.fixmystreet.com or via Cllr Channon.
