A POPULAR Topsham pub has closed.
The Lord Nelson, in High Street, shut at the end of last month.
A spokesperson for the its brewery, Enterprise Inns, however, who confirmed the closure and the licensee had left the business, said it would be open again soon under new management.
She said: "The Lord Nelson is temporarily closed while statutory works are completed.
"We intend to reopen the pub as soon as possible. The previous licensee has left."
Enterprise Inns are the second largest pub chain in the country.
