More than 100 diners have enjoyed an evening of gourmet, locally-sourced food in Budleigh.

Chef Josh McDonald-Johnson’s pop-up restaurant, the Grub Club, appeared at the Public Hall, offering its guests a fine night of cuisine.

Among the treats on offer were grey mullet from Lyme Bay, salad from Branscombe, and bread made with ingredients from Otterton Mill.

Josh said: “It went really well. Everyone was very happy, and we’ve had lots of great feedback.

“Everyone loved the food, and there was a really nice atmosphere.”

Josh added that he plans to bring the Grub Club, which is touring around Devon and the Jurassic Coast, back to Budleigh in around six months’ time.
