DARING motorists are being warned over causing traffic problems when the barriers at Topsham railway station are down.
PC Kevin Wetherell said when the station barriers were down and the queue extended towards Bridge Hill, some drivers were overtaking and going the wrong side of the bollard prior to the roundabout.
Mr Wetherell, the police beat manager for Topsham, said they were continuing to receive complaints about the issue.
"This is extremely dangerous for pedestrians and other road users and clearly is an offence," he said.
"A number of fixed penalty tickets have been issued already and the situation will continue to be monitored.
