DRIVERS have faced a crackdown by Police Special Constables designed to get them to improve their driving habits.
An operation which took place on February 12 and 13 saw 15 drivers being spoken to about their speed following speed checks in Dinan Way and Douglas Avenue.
Motorists also received fines for using a mobile phone while driving and not wearing seatbelts.
The operation was carried out by the Special Constables as part of National Specials Week.
Special Constable Jason Keeping said: ‘The Specials in Exmouth work alongside the regulars and get involved in a variety of operations with the local neighbourhood policing team and response sections.’
