The police in Exmouth are stepping up speed checks in areas of the town following reports of dangerous driving.

Exmouth police is to step up speed checks along Littleham Road and Douglas Avenue following an increase in dangerous driving.

The Littleham police team said traffic volume has increased along the routes and reports have been received some drivers were acting in an intimidating and dangerous manner.

Police community support officer Malcolm Maguire said crossing patrol for Littleham Primary School, Kerry Hughes, would become the ears and eyes of the community, reporting any bad driving to the police.

PCSO Maguire said the police would be in touch with anyone reported.
