Police speed checks in Budleigh Salterton to be repeated

BUDLEIGH Salterton police have this month carried out vehicle speed checks at Knowle village and West Hill Road.

BUDLEIGH Salterton police have this month carried out vehicle speed checks at Knowle village and West Hill Road.

Budleigh Salterton neighbourhood beat manger PC David Lea said he plans to carry out further speed checks using the non-enforceable radar device and return to the same spot the following day with the laser gun and issue penalties.

Some 23 vehicles out of 52 checked travelling through Knowle were found to be exceeding the 30mph speed limit.

In West Hill 66 vehicles were checked, and 22 were found to be over the 30mph limit.
