SCORES of new police officers will flock to Topsham next month for a training day.
Devon and Cornwall Constabulary's latest PCSO recruits will visit the town on October 7 to carry out hypothetical training scenarios as they prepare for their new job.
Percy Giles, police community support officer for Topsham, said: "There will be scenarios taking place all around the town.
"We have a situation where someone needs first aid and the officer has to be able to deal with it and there may be a lost child case."
Percy joked: "The last time this scenario took place (missing person) on a training day, people were worrying if the child had been found or not because the actress was so good."
He added: "At the end of the training, the officers then have to go out and potentially do such things for real.
