Police investigating a spate of stolen boat engines at Lymsptone are appealing for information.

Police are appealing for information after three outboard engines were stolen from boats moored at Lymsptone estuary.

Officers say the equipment was stolen sometime between Sunday June 23 and the following day.

Police community support officer Sarah Trayhurn is appealing for anyone with information, or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the crimes, to get in touch.

She said: “It is believed a small wooden vessel taken from the harbour was used to reach the boats.

“The engines were stolen using cutting equipment, or bolt croppers and then the boats set adrift.”

Call police on 101, quoting crime reference: KE/13/1426.
