TRAINED police negotiators were called to a Newton Poppleford home following reports that a woman was allegedly threatening officers with a knife.
Police were called to Capper Close at around 2am on Tuesday.
Officers were concerned for the welfare of a woman.
* A 22-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and affray and remains in police custody.
