Police have received reports of 'several' thefts from vehicles parked in isolated beauty spots and car parks near Budleigh Salterton and Woodbury.

Officers said vehicles were targeted at Woodbury Common and White Bridge, near South Farm, Budleigh.

Police community support officers Chantalle Major and Justin Willis have increased area patrols and warned motorists parking in the areas.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “We have been educating motorists not to leave valuable items in their cars. Even hidden items have been stolen recently.”

If you see anything suspicious, contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
