Firefighters from Exmouth used cutting gear to make a heavy goods vehicle safe after it was involved in a collision at Lympstone on Monday lunchtime.
The fire crew was sent to the A376 at Gulliford dip shortly before 12.30pm.
The firefighters used cutting equipment to make the vehicle safe.
The police also attended the scene.
