POLICE are investigating an incident in which a mother claims her seven month old child flew out of a pram after it was allegedly struck by a car.
An incident took place in Ragg Lane, Budleigh Salterton, at 12.40pm on Tuesday, February 9, between the driver of a red saloon car and a young woman and her child.
Appealing for information, Chris Wright, a motor patrol constable, said: "Witnesses, particularly a female in her sixties walking a dog are urged to call police."
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall police said the baby was taken to Exmouth Hospital having sustained a number of injuries including a slight burn and reddening to the skin but nothing considered life-threatening.
Anyone with information should call the police on 08452 777444, asking for motor patrol constable 4214 Wright, quoting log 357 09/02/10.
