Police appeal for help tracing driver after alleged hit-and-run in Budleigh Salterton

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2 - A MAN suffered minor injuries after he was knocked down by a car in an alleged hit and run incident in Budleigh Salterton, said police.

A MAN suffered minor injuries after he was knocked down by a car in an alleged hit and run incident in Budleigh Salterton, said police.

The incident took place at around 6.15pm in the High Street on Friday September 26 and the police are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened to help identify the car driver.

The police said the man had been crossing the High Street and was hit by a reversing car which left the scene without stopping.

The car is believed to be blue in colour and the driver described as an older man with a short beard.
