Police appeal after theft of birdbath

PUBLISHED: 12:00 29 January 2016

Police are keen to trace a birdbath stolen from the front garden of a home in Brixington at the end of December.

Officers said the stone birdbath, on a pedestal column, was stolen from Scott Drive overnight or in the early hours of December 30, 2015.

Police community support officer Chris Ball said: “It was a very heavy item that would be extremely cumbersome to lift, probably requiring two people.”

If you have information to help police regarding the theft, call 101 and quote crime number CR/005171/16.
