Police are appealing for help tracing a man in connection with a hit and run in Exmouth on Sunday morning.

Devon and Cornwall police were called to Pound Lane, Withycombe Raleigh, at around 11.30 after reports of a collision involving Blue Fiat Stilo and a Ford Focus.

Police said the driver of the Fiat car drove off after the incident; a woman was left shaken but uninjured. Officers later seized a vehicle.

Devon and Cornwall police have issued a description of a man they believe can help with ongoing enquiries.

He is described as 5 ft 8 inches tall, thought to be in his 20s with dark, straight, hair and a scruffy appearance. He was wearing a horizontal striped polo shirt and blue baggy jeans.

If you can help police with the appeal, call 101 and quote log number 356 of September 18, 2016.
