Police are appealing for information from the public after play equipment in an Exmouth park was damaged.
‘Extensive damage’ is said to have been caused to the play equipment, and to fencing which was subsequently placed around it as a safety measure, in Phear Park.
This followed previous damage, which was caused to the tarmacadam area around ramps at the nearby skate park.
Police say this damage cost East Devon District Council, which owns the park, more than £3,000 to repair.
Anyone who witnessed or has any information about the incidents, which are said to have taken place during November, is asked to get in touch with police by calling the non-emergency phone number 101, or, alternatively, by calling crime prevention charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, and quoting crime reference number CR/088917/16.
