Police appeal after bus stolen in Exmouth

Police are appealing for information to help an investigation after a bus was stolen in Exmouth on Saturday (July 1).

Officers were called out at around 3am after reports that a bus was stolen in Gipsy Lane.

A spokesman for Stagecoach, which owns the bus, said: “In the early hours of Saturday morning a bus was taken from Exmouth out station and was subsequently found abandoned a short distance away.

“We have recovered the CCTV from the bus and are assisting the police with their investigation.”

Anyone who has information which could help the investigation is asked to ring police on 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk quoting reference number CR/052914/17.
