Police appeal after Brixington jewellery raid

Police investigating a burglary at a home in Brixington, where sentimental jewellery was stolen, are appealing for information.

Officers said a property in Valley Way was broken into between 5.50pm and 10.15pm on Friday, October. 9

Gold and silver jewellery, plus earrings and a bracelet with precious stones, were among the stolen haul.

A silver bangle engraved with a distinctive biblical inscription was also taken.

Officers investigating the burglary would like to speak to anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the Valley Way area around the time of the crime.

Police also want to hear from anyone who may know the whereabouts of the stolen jewellery, or if anyone has been offered similar items for sale.

A Devon and Cornwall police spokesperson said: “Jewellery, which is of great sentimental value to the victim, was stolen during the burglary.

“Among the items taken were a gold link bracelet, silver earrings with aquamarine stone with an ‘S’ pattern around the edge, a silver bangle with mother of pearl on the outside, a fine long gold chain and a silver bangle with the biblical inscription on the outside, which reads ‘I am my beloveds and he is mine s of s 6:3’.

“Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in Valley Way, or who knows the whereabouts of the stolen items.”
