Please clean up

I feel I have to agree with Collin Cowen’s letter in last week’s Journal regarding horse manure on the seafront.
I fail to understand.
If a dog owner doesn’t pick up his own dog’s mess, he stands the risk of being fined.
How is it that horse riders are allowed to let their animals foul the seafront, car parks, roads and beach and just ride away without even worrying, or caring about the mess they leave behind them.
I was informed by one rider that horse manure is non-toxic.
Toxic or not, it is still litter and has to be removed by the council.
It’s not a great advertisement for Exmouth when holiday makers are greeted by great piles of horse droppings on the seafront, so come on riders, tidy up behind your animals please.
