Plea for parents not to park in marked-out zones

PUBLISHED: 06:30 30 January 2016

Police say parents parking outside Brixington Academy during the school run is ‘still a cause for concern’.

Police community support officer Chris Ball said he will continue to patrol the area during the worst-hit times, as much as his shifts allow.

PCSO Ball appealed for parents to have respect for other road users and to park sensibly.

He said: “It has been reported vehicles park on zig-zag lines and in the marked-out bus stop right outside the main gate.

“These areas are zones that have been purposefully put there to prevent vehicles from parking there.

“Please, no-one park in these zones.”
