Nick Loman will be showing his extensive collection of pictures and memorabilia of Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth and the surrounding villages.
Nick, of Swains Road, has been collecting for more than 30 years. One area that he is particularly interested in is the local fishing industry, with which he was involved for many years. Other subjects include the railway, the main street and hotels. There were 15 hotels in Budleigh at one time!
There will also be pictures of Exmouth Docks as they were and the 18-hole golf course on The Maer, which opened in 1886, plus maps dating back to Henry VIII.
The display at Salem Chapel, East Budleigh, is open 10am-5pm on September 12/13. Refreshments will be available.
