PETROL thieves have struck yet again in Topsham.
Fuel was stolen from three vehicles left in Holman Way car-park overnight, between January 22 and 23. There have been eight such incidents in Topsham within the last five months.
The thieves took petrol from a grey Nissan Primera, a Fiat Punto and silver Ford Mondeo, all of which were left in the car-park between 4pm on January 22 and 11am on January 23.
Police community support officer Percy Giles said: "Whoever is doing this is going underneath the cars and drilling two to three holes and draining off petrol.
"Drivers would not know until they started driving that they had run out of petrol."
PCSO Giles said the incidents had been taking place at night and urged residents, where possible, not to park in unlit areas.
