Pensioner in Clyst St George road accident

A pensioner had to be taken to hospital after her car rolled just outside Clyst St George.

Two fire appliances and an ambulance were called to reports of a single vehicle incident on the Woodbury Road at around 2pm.

Upon arrival the crews from Topsham and Middlemoor released the woman, believed to be in her 70’s, from the vehicle using hydraulic tools.

The casualty was then taken to Royal Devon and Exeter while the vehicle and scene was made safe by the fire crew.
