BUDLEIGH Salterton has hit out at county council officers who forced a town caf� to remove its outside chairs and tables, saying they posed a pedestrian hazard.
A Stoneyford Park resident said it was a 'shame' the highways department had ordered a Slice of Lyme, in Rolle Road, to remove its pavement seating.
A Devon County Council spokesman said: "A notice has been issued to the restaurant requesting that the tables are removed from the road.
