Patio doors smashed in Exmouth burglaries

Detectives at Exmouth are investigating two burglaries where large stones were thrown through patio doors in Bunn Road, Brixington.
Police said a property was targeted between 9am on New Year’s Day and 1.35pm on Wednesday, January 18, while the owners were away on holiday.
A police spokeswoman said: “Entry was gained by a large stone being thrown through the rear patio door, causing £500 of damage.
“An untidy search was made of the property, but it is not yet clear if anything has been taken.”
A silver identity bracelet, valued at around £100, a man’s pewter bracelet, worth £20, and a titanium ring, worth £25, were stolen from another property in Bunn Road between 9.15pm on Monday, January 2, and 10.30am on Friday, January 6.
Police said a rear patio door was smashed with a large stone.
Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime number CR/004333/17, or CR/001469/17 in relation to the stolen jewellery.
