A BRIXINGTON grandmother - who feared she would miss her daughter and granddaughter's milestone birthdays after being diagnosed with terminal cancer - has raised thousands of pounds for charity with a massive party.Pat Coles, 62, held a party at The Pavilion, in honour of her daughter's 40th and granddaughter's 21st birthdays, raising £4,600 for cancer charities.Pat's daughter, Lynn Panton, and granddaughter Danielle had agreed to bring forward their birthday celebrations by a month.Pat, of Pines Road, was diagnosed with a tumour in her gall bladder after collapsing while Christmas shopping last December. Caring Pat and friend Teresa Lock have now presented a cheque to FORCE cancer charity, which was received by Ross Driver, and to Sylvia Arlott on behalf of Cancer Research.The fundraising party featured a raffle and auction of prizes donated by Exmouth and Exeter businesses.
