Exmouth Health and Care Team stalwart Pat Bottom has retired after more than 20 years of service.
Pat Bottom joined the committee in 1988 as the representative from the Women’s Royal Voluntary Service.
She later became vice-chairman, then chairman, of the Health and Care Team – positions she held for a number of years.
Rose Thatcher, from Exmouth Hospital, presented Mrs Bottom with a card and an orchid as thanks for her hard work and dedication.
Exmouth Health and Care Team spokeswoman Pam Inkson said Pat remembered early meetings of the Health and Care Team when they took place in the main council chamber of the town hall. She also recalled the fight to preserve community hospitals in Exmouth and other towns of East Devon.
Mrs Inkson said: “Her long service to organisations in Exmouth will be remembered and we wish her well in her new home in Cranleigh retirement village.”
