EXMOUTH childminders celebrated National Childminding Week when 14 youngsters headed to the beach for a party.Devon Child Minding Association (DCMA) organised a host of activities for Exmouth and Exeter childminders and their charges.The youngsters were treated to play sessions on the beach with using toys borrowed from DCMA's toy library. Devon Child Minding Association (DCMA) is the local membership childminding organisation with over 22 years' experience of providing support, information, advice and training to childminders in Devon, Plymouth and Torbay.Karen Gardner, from DCMA, said: "We were a little worried about the weather, but we were lucky and it was pleasantly warm and sunny. The children made the most of all the available resources and it was a lovely social occasion too. Childminders enjoy taking children on outings and can offer many varied and interesting experiences." Childminder Jo Summers said the youngsters in her care thoroughly enjoyed the day spent on the beach.l Anyone can join the Toy Library.
