‘Park safely’ plea to Exmouth parents

School-run parents gearing up for the new term are being warned by police about parking safely in Brixington.

The message comes from PCSO Chris Ball after revised road markings near to Brixington Primary Academy allow parking close to a school crossing.

Mr Ball said: “These lines allow you to park on them when it is safe and appropriate, as long as you do not cause an inconvenience or problem for other road users.

“I view the lines as helping to decongest the road from over-parking, on an otherwise busy stretch, for children crossing and bus access.

“It would be appreciated if during school-run times that vehicles did not park, creating a safer environment for children.”
