PARENTS were busy number crunching with their children at a maths workshop held at Lympstone Primary School last week.
Nikki Clarke, maths coordinator at the school, organised the workshop to give parents the opportunity to see how the subject is taught compared with when they were young.
It was also organised to enable them to support their children with maths at home.
Tony Priest, head teacher at Lympstone Primary, said: “It was certainly an eye-opener for some of the parents, I think!
“In some of the cases, I think the children could work out problems better than the adults.
“I am sure that there was unanimity with all the parents in that it was a valuable evening and that they now feel better equipped to help their children with their maths homework.”
