Opportunist thief sparks Budleigh Salterton police appeal

BUDLEIGH Salterton police are appealing for help tracing a thief who stole a lawn mower from a home in Boucher Way.

BUDLEIGH Salterton police are appealing for help tracing a thief who stole a lawn mower from a home in Boucher Way.

Officers said the culprit loaded the green Haytor Jubilee mower into a white van on Friday April 16.

Police community support officer Malcolm Maguire said the crime had been an opportunist theft.

He said officers had no description of the thief.

PCSO Maguire said: "The van itself was distinctive as it had a defective rear light which was taped-up."
