Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing comes to Exmouth
PUBLISHED: 14:41 17 July 2018 | UPDATED: 14:48 17 July 2018
Open-air production of one of Shakespeare’s most-loved comedies
The plot of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing is transposed on to the post-World War One period in an outdoor production at Queen’s Drive Space on Sunday, July 22.
The play’s events start to unfold as Don Pedro and his comrades are returning home after the end of the conflict in November 1918.
From the dastardly Don John, to the daft Sergeant Dogberry, the production by professional theatre company Rain Or Shine involves revellers, rascals and romance, as the fiery Beatrice gives Benedick, the bachelor, a battle of words to remember, and true love is at its sweetest as Claudio falls for his darling Hero.
Bring your own seating and a picnic, and enjoy watching the people of Messina find love, scupper mischievous plots and celebrate new-found peace across the world.
The performance starts at 7pm and tickets are £12 for adults, £6 for children/teenagers aged 15 or under. They are available from email@example.com or by calling 0330 660 0541.
