Oak tree planted at Heavitree

A MATURE English Oak tree was planted in Heavitree following requests from local traders for more trees in the area.

A MATURE English Oak tree was planted in Heavitree following requests from local traders for more trees in the area.

The 7-metre-high oak is the latest feature of a £550,000 environmental improvements scheme.

The tree will is a focal point to a newly created public space between the Royal Oak and Tesco and which includes seating, improved lighting and three apple trees.
