Exmouth Council have, this week, decided to enter into negotiations to buy 53 acres of land at Marpool Farm Estate for the purpose of housing. The Council have already approved, in principle, a programme for the erection of one hundred houses for the first year after the war.

In other news: An Exmouth constable received a bite from a Paignton dog. Exmouth Petty Sessional Court heard how Constable R. Blewett had received a bite from a ‘handsome crossbred Airedale-spaniel dog’. The police applied for an order to be made requiring owner, Mrs Bray, to keep her dog under control.
